Ultimate Beach Party
Summers by the lake at Andrew and Kevin's cottage property lack only one thing: a beach. It’s a situation that they plan to rectify immediately in their quest to host the Ultimate Beach Party. With a tiki bar, open fire spit, tropical cocktails and DIY hula-hoops – this is a beach party, Brojects-style.
Step 4
First things first… the beach. We needed to bring in a truckload of crusher dust, a great compacting material that allowed us to level the land and provide a foundation for our beach, preventing any tripping hazards. This step involves plenty of digging, spreading and levelling… but it sure beats being stuck in an office! Once the crusher dust is laid in and levelled, it’s time to bring in the sand! In our case it was more dark brown than sun-kissed tan. So unless you want to spend the day ‘trying’ to lighten the sand, don’t follow Andrew’s lead. Just spend the extra few bucks and buy a lighter coloured sand.
