The Ultimate Ice Hotel
With Kevin's loud snoring nearly driving his brother Andrew to silence him for good, the boys decide that perhaps it's finally time to try out some alternative sleeping arrangements up at their lakeside cottage property. It's the middle of winter and the boys dream up a scheme for a retreat from the retreat -- an igloo on the lake comprised of all the amenities of a luxury boutique hotel. No hotel is every truly complete without a hotel bar. Taking our snow knife again, we found some thinner snow slabs to create a simple but effective bartop. We decorated the top using pine needles as an added touch, before dousing the entire bar in water to allow it to freeze solid overnight. Later, we used a hole saw to create bottle holders into the bartop — they’ll not only keep our precious bottles icy cold but also prevent them from sliding off.
